Neonatologist Job Details Location: Long Beach, CA Healthcare Setting: Level IV NICU Start Date: November 17, 2025 End Date: February 16, 2026 Contract Duration: 13 weeks Estimated Weekly Hours: 36 Shift Schedule: 12-hour rotating shifts; options include weekday day shifts (8am-4pm), weekday night shifts (3pm-9am), 24-hour weekday shifts, and weekend coverage (Friday 3pm - Monday 9am in blocks) Neonatologist Qualifications Board Certified in Neonatology (required for all neonatologist jobs) Active California medical license (required for California healthcare jobs) Recent experience managing a Level IV NICU caseload within the past 12 months (required) Minimum 1 year of neonatology experience in a clinical setting Key Responsibilities Deliver in-house coverage for a Level IV NICU, managing critically ill neonates Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to provide comprehensive neonatal care Participate in a rotating shift schedule, including days, nights, and weekends as needed Ensure accurate and timely documentation of all patient care activities Support families and provide education regarding neonatal conditions and advanced treatments
