Physician Opportunity - ELFHCCAre you a compassionate, community-minded physician looking to make a meaningful impact in urban healthcare? Join our team at East Liberty Family Health Care Center (ELFHCC), where you'll deliver high-quality medical care in a collaborative, patient-centered environment serving diverse and underserved populations.About the RoleAs a Physician at ELFHCC, you'll provide comprehensive medical services including physical exams, diagnosing and treating illnesses, and offering preventive care. You'll work alongside a multidisciplinary team across clinical settings, including medical offices, nursing homes, and patient homes. Key Responsibilities Deliver primary and specialty care in clinic, nursing home, and home settingsConduct exams, review histories, and order diagnostic testsProvide hospital follow-up care at UPMC Shadyside and Magee Women's Hospital (credentialing/scope dependent)Promote wellness and prevention through patient educationOversee care delivered by PNPs and PACs; supervise triage functions of nursesParticipate in evening/weekend call coverageMaintain accurate, timely records and billing documentationComplete forms for insurance, disability, and assistance programsReview labs and cultures; follow up with appropriate careSupport clinical research with Medical Director approvalAttend CME, staff meetings, in-service trainings, and quality improvement initiativesCollaborate in protocol development and complianceEnsure practices meet all regulatory and ethical standards Qualifications MD or DO from an accredited institutionCurrent Pennsylvania medical licenseBoard certification in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Pediatrics, or OB-GYNMinimum of 3 years post-residency experience preferredBilingual candidates strongly preferredInterest in urban/inner-city medicine a must Skills & Requirements Strong diagnostic and clinical skills with EMR proficiencyEmpathetic communication and professionalismAdaptable schedule; willing to support clinic needs across locationsPassion for working with uninsured/underserved communitiesTeam-oriented with commitment to interdisciplinary care Working Conditions Fast-paced clinic and community settingsLocal travel requiredPhysical demands include prolonged standing/sitting, phone use, and lifting up to 10 lbs.
