The expected salary range is $118,800 to $132,000, depending on experience, along with a robust benefits package. Primary Purpose of Position The Senior Energy Engineer plays a pivotal role in solving advanced technical and engineering challenges to support power plant operations. With a deep understanding of engineering principles, industry codes, and regulations, you will make critical technical decisions that directly impact project success. Primary Duties and Accountabilities Lead feasibility studies and design initiatives for new commercial projects. Utilize your experience to ensure accurate feasibility assessments that inform business cases. Collaborate with colleagues in Nuclear & Power engineering to ensure clarity in project scope. Ensure timely and thorough reviews of technical deliverables for accuracy and quality. Dive deep into design standards and regulations to support projects interacting with power plants. Work closely with site engineering managers to gather necessary project information. Ensure compliance with design standards, company policies, and regulatory requirements. Provide in-depth technical expertise to develop, manage, and implement engineering analyses and programs. Offer direct consultation to troubleshoot and resolve equipment and system issues. Manage engineering tasks and maintain oversight on quality and sustainability. Conduct independent research, studies, and analyses to support various technical initiatives. Recommend innovative techniques and improvements to enhance performance and reduce costs. Mentor junior engineers and facilitate knowledge development. Perform additional tasks as assigned by management, including support for outage activities and departmental duties. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree in engineering (Chemical, Civil/Structural, Electrical, Industrial, or Mechanical) with at least 5 years of relevant technical experience. Must meet access requirements and pass a medical examination as required for the position. Preferred Qualifications Proven experience in leading cross-functional initiatives at an asset or plant level. Experience overseeing feasibility studies and design projects, preferably in a nuclear plant environment. Familiarity with NRC regulations and industry standards. Thorough knowledge of design standards and regulatory guidance for projects interfacing with power plants.
