Overview GovCIO is excited to announce an opening for a Logistics Support Engineer to enhance our asset management, procurement, and logistical operations. This role will provide remote work opportunities within the United States while being located specifically in Fayetteville, NC. Responsibilities As a crucial part of our logistics team, you will: Support logistics functions by developing requisitions and managing records of equipment, repair parts, and manuals. Track logistics materials and parts for optimal storage and allocation. Evaluate configuration changes to assess their effects on logistics deployments. Document conditions of equipment, components, and parts. Identify essential logistic support documentation such as technical manuals. Assist in developing maintenance engineering and logistics support strategies. Source, negotiate, and procure necessary equipment and materials to ensure organizational effectiveness. Compile and analyze information on market trends and manufacturing processes. Follow up on orders, ensuring timely delivery and reconciliation of purchases. Analyse contracts, specifications, and design changes to plan and develop logistics program activities. Collaborate with subcontractors, production, and field service personnel to fulfill contractual commitments. Compile data for standardization of parts, facilitating logistics activities. Plan logistic support sequences considering environmental factors affecting personnel. Create handbooks, bulletins, and information systems to enhance logistics support. Maintain comprehensive records of goods and services ordered and received. Qualifications Ideal candidates will possess a high school diploma with 6 to 9 years of relevant experience or equivalent expertise. Required Skills and Experience Clearance Required: TS with SCI eligibility. Valid U.S. Passport and Driver's License. Proven experience in developing purchasing and contract management guidelines. Familiarity with Command Supply Discipline Program. Proficient in Property Book Management and Logistic Ordering Systems. Salary Information The anticipated salary range for this position is $83,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year, which will be discussed and may vary based on your experience and skills.
