JOB DESCRIPTIONTitle: Shop Helper Location: Thousand Palms, CADepartment: Shop Job Type: Non-exemptSupervisor: Branch Manager Shift: Days, M – FSHOP HELPER JOB DESCRIPTIONSummaryThe Shop Assistant is responsible for assisting with various duties related to transportation and service shop functions. Primary responsibilities include keeping the shop clean and organized and accurately processing incoming and outgoing shipments.Responsibilities:The following responsibilities are a general guideline and not intended to be an exhaustive list of the full scope of responsibilities. Duties and responsibilities are subject to change based on business needs and at managements discretion. Moving units at the beginning and end of each day to allow full access to the shop Positioning display equipment as needed, where needed Emptying all trash containers in the warehouse and yard Operating the trash compactor Pickup and delivery of items as directed by the supervisor Shipping and receiving duties include: Receiving equipment shipments, confirming the accuracy of the documents, and delivering paperwork to the transportation department and sales coordinators. Receiving batteries, chargers, and attachments and processing paperwork as above. Requesting customer names for received equipment and accessories and tags equipment. Tags all received accessories with the date received, customer name, model, and serial number before storing them in the proper area. Stencil SWTL ID numbers on equipment as directed Keeps the various equipment areas organized by type of equipment Additional Duties as required Steam cleaning rental equipment, used equipment, and customer equipment Charging stock batteries Installing batteries in rental equipment QualificationsEducation/Additional Requirements: HS Diploma or GED Ability to lift, pull and/or push 50 lbs on a regular basis Forklift Certification Good driving record Attention to detail Proven ability to multi task and stay focused Good organization skills.
