Senior On-Site Service Specialist New York, NY (onsite) 3+ Months Temp to perm Schedule-6-day work week (4 hours MON, 8 hours TUES, 8 hours WED/THURS/FRI, 4 hours SAT)Summary The Senior On-Site Services Specialist provides high-quality operations and customer support services across multiple campus locations. This role supports digital printing, document imaging, mail management, shipping and receiving, and facilities-related functions. The position requires strong presentation and customer service skills, as it may include receptionist and call center responsibilities. Responsibilities Operate high-volume copy, duplicating, and document imaging equipment. Perform binding, finishing, quality control, and final checks on print jobs. Operate document imaging systems and image-handling software. Use Microsoft Office and email systems to open, save, transfer, and manage files according to established protocols. Access and manage documents within document management systems. Generate digital reports for printing, imaging, and mail systems. Ensure convenience copiers are fully operational through daily inspections; clear paper jams and escalate maintenance issues as needed. Maintain meter readings, service logs, billing logs, and inventory records. Calculate job charges and support basic billing documentation. Receive, sort, scan, distribute, and manage incoming and outgoing mail and packages from multiple carriers (e.g., USPS, FedEx, Amazon). Apply postage and manage shipping and receiving functions. Deliver completed jobs to designated campus locations. Respond to and coordinate customer service calls and inquiries regarding job status or feasibility. Maintain neat, stocked, and organized copier and mailroom areas. Perform filing, archiving, and document purging as required. Support meeting room setups, light maintenance, re-lamping, and occasional cleaning duties as assigned. Assist with internal building occupant moves within assigned facilities. Operate bindery and finishing equipment including shrink-wrap machines, paper cutters, hole drillers, joggers, tape machines, stackers, staplers, and scales. Travel between campus buildings as required (all within a 10-minute walk). Work periodic overtime, including evenings or weekends, as needed for operational or emergency support. Requirements High school diploma or GED required. 1-2 years of related experience in copy, print, mail, or office services environment preferred. Valid driver's license may be required depending on assignment needs. Excellent customer service and communication skills. Professional presentation and telephone etiquette. Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks. Proficiency in PC applications, including Microsoft Office and email systems. Basic mathematical and filing skills. Ability to operate office machinery and technical equipment. Comfortable walking between multiple campus buildings daily. Moderate manual dexterity (keyboard use, calculator, hand tools, and equipment operation). Work performed in a standard office environment with normal lighting, temperature, and noise levels.
