Job Title: Industrial Assembler Job DescriptionAs a Mechanical Assembler, you will be responsible for assembling test filtration machinery to meet both production and quality standards. You will select assembly methods and procedures from blueprints to fit parts to specific tolerances and operating requirements, using hand and power tools. Additionally, you will align subassemblies, cut and fit pipe and tubing, and perform operating tests and final adjustments.Responsibilities Fit, align, and assemble manufactured or purchased parts, motors, pumps, and sub-assemblies into completed units. Make necessary electrical and piping connections. Position parts according to unit layout or engineering drawings. Fasten parts together with bolts, screws, speed clips, or other fasteners. Drill and tap holes for fasteners. Visually inspect parts and assemblies for fit and surface defects, advising the supervisor of any discrepancies. Remove small quantities of metal with hand files to produce close fit between parts. Test components and units for proper operation. Experience a rewarding work-life balance with a supportive benefits package.Work EnvironmentThe work environment includes positions on both 1st shift (5:00am - 3:30pm) and 2nd shift (3:15pm to 11:45pm), with a base of 8-hour shifts and potential for 10-hour shifts as needed. Flexibility to work up to 8 hours on Saturdays may be required. The building, with its historic character from 1906, features numerous windows and offers a well-lit atmosphere. Temperature control varies with the season, with fans and open doors in summer. Employees enjoy cold drinks and frozen treats during warmer months.Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Machesney Park, IL.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $22.00 - $24.00/hr.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
