"We are seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) for a 13-week travel/contract assignment in Three Rivers, MI 49093. Both local and traveler candidates are welcome to apply." Job Details: Shift: 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM Guaranteed Hours: 35 hours per week Weekly Pay Rate: $840 - $945 Key Responsibilities: Assist the Physical Therapist in developing and implementing individualized treatment plans based on patient needs. Provide direct patient care through therapeutic exercises, manual therapy techniques, and the use of modalities such as ultrasound, electrical stimulation, and traction. Monitor and document patient progress, including response to treatment and any changes in condition. Educate patients and caregivers on home exercise programs, mobility techniques, and injury prevention strategies. Ensure compliance with safety standards and facility policies while maintaining a clean and organized treatment area. Collaborate with Physical Therapists, doctors, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated patient care. Maintain up-to-date patient records and documentation as per facility guidelines and regulatory requirements. Experience & Skills: Minimum Experience: 1 year of experience as a Physical Therapist Assistant in a clinical or rehabilitation setting. Experience in hospitals, outpatient clinics, skilled nursing facilities, or home health settings is beneficial. Familiarity with rehabilitation techniques for orthopedic, neurological, geriatric, and pediatric patients is preferred. Strong understanding of therapeutic exercises and manual therapy techniques. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to adjust treatment plans as needed. Education, License & Certification Requirements: Associate degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) program. Valid state license or certification as a Physical Therapist Assistant (required). CPR/BLS certification. Travel & Local Considerations: Candidates outside a 50-mile radius qualify for travel pay.
