Job Details Position Type: Travel RN - Medical Surgical (Med/Surg) Job Title: Travel Med/Surg Registered Nurse (RN) Location: York, Maine 03909 - York, ME travel nursing / Maine nursing jobs Assignment Duration: 8 weeks (February 2, 2026 - March 30, 2026) Hours per Week: 36 guaranteed hours Shift Schedule: 12-hour rotating shifts (7:00 am - 7:30 pm or 7:00 pm - 7:30 am) Call Requirement: No call required Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend required Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,910 - $2,010 Required Qualifications Active RN license (Maine RN or compact state RN license accepted) Current ACLS and BLS/BCLS certifications Minimum 1 year of recent Medical-Surgical nursing experience (Med/Surg RN) Telemetry experience preferred (telemetry nursing) Flu vaccine required (per Maine state regulations) Responsibilities Provide high-quality patient care to adult and orthopedic patients on the Medical Surgical unit Assess, monitor, and respond to changes in patient condition using clinical judgment and critical thinking Administer medications, IV therapies, and treatments as prescribed Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare team members-physicians, therapists, case managers-to ensure optimal patient outcomes Document patient care accurately in electronic medical records (EMR) Provide patient and family education, support, and discharge planning Participate in unit initiatives for patient safety, infection prevention, and quality improvement This York, Maine travel nursing job is an excellent opportunity for experienced Med/Surg RNs and travel nurses seeking Maine travel RN positions, clinical growth, and work-life balance near the coast.
