Courses may be day or nights and may consist of seated, online or hybrid methods of delivery. Courses may be offered in an eight-week or sixteen-week format. Typical classes include, but are not limited to, the following: 1) Introduction to Electricity 2) Introduction to Automation 3) Introduction to Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) 4) Industrial Instrumentation 5) Hydraulics/Pneumatics 6) Mechanisms 7) Industrial Controls. 8) Design Project In addition to teaching, instructor will be responsible for maintaining accurate student records including attendance and grades. Minimum Qualifications An Associate degree in Mechatronics Engineering Technology, Automated Manufacturing Technology, Electrical Engineering Technology, Mechanical Engineering Technology or Industrial Systems Technology plus verifiable work experience in the field Preferred Qualifications A Bachelor's degree in Mechatronics, Automated Manufacturing Technology, Electrical Engineering Technology or Mechanical Engineering Technology is preferred.
