Position Type: Tutors Date Posted: 8/20/2025 Location: All Schools (High-Needs School) Date Available: 08/21/2025 Closing Date: until filled Position: Home Instructions Reports to: Pupil Personnel Supervisor Contract: hourly rate Description: Provide instruction for students outside of the school day to support the individual needs of those they serve as identified by a medical or individualized learning plan. NOTE: The below lists are not ranked in order of importance Qualifications: Ohio (Math, ELA, Science, , Special Education, or Social Studies) teaching certificate or license, as issued by the Ohio State Department of Education preferred. Possess qualities of high work ethic, dedication, and accountability, and have demonstrated the ability to organize and manage. Maintains regular attendance General Responsibilities: The tutor is required to plan lessons, and obtain additional work materials from the teachers to support student achievement. The tutor is responsible for working with the assigned building teacher to determine a grade. The tutor is required to schedule sessions with the parents regarding the time and place. The tutor is required to work outside of the classroom setting (It is recommended that sessions take place in a library, etc) The tutor is required to keep attendance at tutoring sessions. The tutor is required to submit timesheet to document hours worked in an efficient and timely manner as required by the payroll department.
