POSITION: Registered Nurse, PCU SCHEDULING DETAILS AND CHARTING • Shift hours/Contract Length: 4X12 Nights 7p-7a, 13 weeks • Charting: EPIC experience required • Weekend Requirement: Every Other Weekend • RTO/Block & Special Scheduling Requests: Must submit requests upon submission • Call off Policy: The client may cancel (call off) up to three shifts during a 13-week contract period without incurring charges for the canceled hours. • Holiday Requirement: Must be available to work every other holiday, if needed • Accept First-Time Travelers: Yes • Locals Accepted? Radius Rule: RN's within 75 miles of the facility are not accepted. Locals accepted for LPN's REQUIRED LICENSE/ CERTIFICATIONS • Pending License Accepted: No, Must have an active New York Single State RN license. (NY is not Compact) • ACLS, BLS, NIHSS REQUIRED CLINICAL SKILLS • Telemetry and Stepdown-level care (PCU/DOU/IMC) • Cardiac monitoring and emergency response; Interpretation and management of dysrhythmias; Use of Rapid Response/Code teams • Nasal cannula; Oxygen administration; Non-invasive airway management • Manage cardiac drips (no titration); Blood product administration • Central line care/management; Peripheral line care/management • IV therapy/phlebotomy; Isolation precautions UNIT DETAILS AND FLOATING • Ratios: 1:4-5; Adults, Geriatrics • Patient Diagnoses: long term pulmonary patients, ENT surgery, any surgical procedures that need step down level of care. • Scrub Color: Any combination of navy blue and white • Floating: Will be required to float within skillset HOSPITAL HIGHLIGHTS Rochester General Hospital is a 528-bed acute care teaching facility in Rochester, NY.
