Posting Details Position Details Title Assistant Research Professor of Pediatrics Specific TitleAppointment Type Scientist Track Faculty Department IUSM - Pediatrics Campus IU School of Medicine Indianapolis Position Summary Dr. Matthew Aalsma, Vice Chair of Health Services Research and Director of the Adolescent Behavioral Health Research Program in the Department of Pediatrics at Indiana University School of Medicine (IUSM) is currently seeking applications from highly motivated, team-oriented candidates for a research scientist. The full-time position will focus on honing expertise and research acumen in the areas of adolescent substance use, mental health, traumatic stress, and behavioral interventions for youth and families. Candidates with interests in developing and implementing applied research projects aimed at improving reach and effectiveness of behavioral health services for young people are encouraged to apply. The research scientist will actively participate in implementation, data analysis, and dissemination of findings(manuscripts, presentations) from multiple NIH-funded clinical trials and studies. Additional opportunities include contributing to studies on youth-participatory and community-engaged research as well as behavioral health informatics. The Adolescent Behavioral Health Research Program (is a joint effort of IUSM Departments of Pediatrics (and Psychiatry (Core faculty include Matthew Aalsma, PhD; Zachary Adams, PhD; Kathleen Crum, PhD; Ally Dir, PhD; Leslie Hulvershorn, MD; Brigid Marriott, PhD; Casey Pederson, PhD; and Tamika Zapolski, PhD.
