Job Overview: Search Solution Group is seeking an Innovation Product Manager in Plano, TX, on behalf of our client, a firm that specializes in designing, managing, and advising on retirement plans for small and medium-sized businesses. This position is key to driving the firm's growth strategy by leading the discovery, ideation, and early-stage development of new wealth management products and services. The Innovation Product Manager will identify unmet client needs, research market trends, evaluate emerging technologies, and design innovative solutions that create long-term value for both clients and the firm. Key Responsibilities: Research emerging trends, client needs, and competitor innovations in the wealth management space Identify gaps and opportunities to serve affluent small business owners and employees with new wealth solutions Generate, validate, and prioritize product ideas that align with the company's growth strategy Prepare business cases, product briefs, and market analyses for new services, including financial planning, digital advice, and investment products Partner with internal stakeholders to design, prototype, and test early-stage solutions Lead small-scale pilots to assess product-market fit, feasibility, and ROI Collaborate with client acquisition, operations, legal, and compliance teams to assess readiness and risks Work with senior leadership to define and execute the long-term innovation roadmap Requirements include:Education: Bachelor's degree required Advanced degree or professional certifications preferred (e.g., CFP®, Series 65, CFA, AIPMM, Pragmatic Institute, IDEO) Experience: 5+ years in product management, strategy, or innovation roles At least 2 years of experience in the financial services industry Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities Excellent written and verbal communication, with the ability to influence senior stakeholders Strong foundation in customer research, prototyping, and early-stage product development Knowledge of commonly used product management frameworks Ability to work cross-functionally with marketing, sales, operations, and client service teams Certifications: Preferred but not required: CFP®, CFA, Series 65, or product/innovation management certifications Knowledge: Familiarity with wealth management business models, client segments, and advisory services Knowledge of digital advice, financial planning software, or RIA technology stacks Key Competencies: Strategic thinker with vision for long-term innovation Entrepreneurial mindset with comfort navigating ambiguity Results-driven and able to assess product-market fit and ROI Collaborative team player with strong relationship-building skills Creative problem-solver with the ability to bring structure to new ideas How to Apply: To apply for this position, please click the "Apply" button at the top right of your screen.
