Saw Operator

Job Full Description Job Title: Saw Operator Location: Burnsville, MN Employment Type: Full-Time Shift: Day Shift Job Summary: A detail-oriented and safety-focused Saw Operator to join our production team. The ideal candidate will have experience operating saws or similar equipment and will be responsible for reading production orders, setting up and operating saw machinery, and ensuring materials meet production and quality standards. This position plays a vital role in supporting our production process while maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work environment. Key Responsibilities: Read production schedules and identify required materials Ensure material meets specifications (grade, size, moisture content) Set up saw equipment according to job specifications Operate saw to cut materials as needed, periodically checking output for accuracy Offload, stack, label, and band materials or finished products as required Conduct pre-shift/startup equipment inspections and report any issues Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area Complete necessary production and quality records Perform lockout/tagout (LOTO) and basic preventive maintenance as required Participate in safety, continuous improvement (CI), and team meetings Follow all company safety, quality, and operational procedures Perform other related duties as assigned Requirements: High school diploma or GED Minimum 3 months experience operating saws or similar machinery Some experience in manufacturing or assembly preferred Ability to read and follow detailed instructions and production specifications Basic math skills and mechanical aptitude Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs, stand, bend, twist, push/pull, and handle materials regularly Ability to recognize material grades and ensure quality compliance Must be at least 18 years of age Commitment to safety and adherence to protective equipment use What We Provide: All required PPE provided: safety glasses, ear protection, gloves Hands-on training and support Clean and safety-oriented work environment Opportunity to grow within a stable, well-established company Lakeville (Savage), MN 2220 8275 210th Street West Lakeville, MN 55044
