Summary THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 5 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION. This National Guard position is for a LOGISTIC MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST, Position Description Number T590300 and is part of the 174TH ATKW, National Guard. This vacancy does not meet the criteria for appointment of annuitants. Veterans' preference does not apply to this vacancy due to internal merit promotion. Duties Help As a LOGISTIC MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST (GS-0346-9) you will be the point of contact for the Logistics Readiness Squadron deployment and training activities. Manages customer training and provides the Logistics Readiness Squadron forces with training and resources for deployed operations. Requirements Help Conditions of employment Federal employment suitability as determined by a background investigation. May be required to successfully complete a 2 year trial period. Participation in direct deposit is mandatory. Work may require access to classified information. Must be able to obtain and maintain the appropriate security clearance within one year Irregular and/or overtime (compensatory) hours may be required to support operational requirements or contingencies or may be required to work hours outside of the normal duty day. May be required to travel by car, in military and/or commercial aircraft, and by other means of transportation as appropriate to perform temporary duty assignments Ability to establish effective professional working relationships with coworkers and customers, contributing to a cooperative working environment and successful accomplishment of the mission. Qualifications SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: 1-year specialized experience, education or training equivalent to at least the next lower grade level. Must have experience, education, or training which involved detailed knowledge of organizations and their functions in logistical support (i.e., supply, maintenance, quality assurance, facilities). Experience planning and organizing work assignments. Applicants who meet one of the DoD Priority Placement Program categories below are eligible to apply with this preference. (See Required Documents section) Priority Placement Program, DoD Military Reserve (MR) and National Guard (NG) Technician Eligible Priority Placement Program, DoD MR and NG Preference Eligible Tech Receiving Disability Retirement Priority Placement Program, DoD Military Spouse Preference (MSP) Eligible Priority Placement Program, DoD Retained Grade Applicants claiming DoD Retained Grade preference must submit the following documentation: Retained Grade PPP Self Certification Checklist (DD3145-1) SF-50 effecting the placement in retained grade status, and A copy of the notification letter received (RIF or classification downgrade) Education If using Education to qualify, Master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree You must provide a copy of Official Transcripts as documentation to support your educational claims. To receive credit for Education, you must provide documentation of proof that you meet the Education requirements for this position. Additional information If you are a male applicant who was born after 12/31/1959 and are required to register under the Military Selective Service Act, the Defense Authorization Act of 1986 requires that you be registered or you are not eligible for appointment in this agency (Register | Selective Service System : Selective Service System (sss.gov)). This position is designated as Essential Personnel and may be subject to duty in preparation for, or in response to, a state emergency or disaster declaration. Head of Agency requests to exceed 14 days in a calendar year must be approved in advance by the National Guard, Director of Manpower and Personnel Superior Qualifications and Special Needs Pay-setting Authority may be considered for this position.
