This is an exceptional opportunity to provide specialized, high-acuity care to the most fragile patients and their families. We are offering a sign-on bonus of up to $10,000 for eligible candidates who meet all conditions, in addition to a fantastic benefits and compensation package. Position Overview As a NICU nurse, you will play a vital role in providing ethical and holistic care, serving as a dedicated advocate for your patients. Your professional practice will be centered on assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating care to optimize outcomes and ensure seamless transitions. This is a dynamic role that requires you to align practice with the highest standards of safety and quality, all while fostering a learning environment for both patient families and your healthcare team. Key Responsibilities Patient Care: Assess and develop comprehensive, individualized plans of care for neonatal patients. You will monitor, record, and communicate patient conditions as appropriate, ensuring all essential competencies are met for the specific patient population. Advocacy and Communication: Effectively advocate for ethical care by partnering in care planning to promote the autonomy, dignity, rights, and beliefs of those you serve. You will foster a learning environment, facilitating formal and informal learning opportunities for families and the healthcare team. Safety and Quality: You will be accountable for safety, identifying and correcting problems, and integrating evidence-based practice into daily nursing care. Your commitment to patient, self, and environmental safety is essential for achieving the best outcomes. Professional Leadership: Engage in ongoing professional development and practice to the top of your license. You will lead and coordinate care teams, appropriately delegating tasks and collaborating with other inter-professional care members. Qualifications Required Qualifications: Graduation from an accredited nursing program. A Washington Registered Nurse License is required upon hire. A National Provider BLS from the American Heart Association is required upon hire. A National Provider NRP from the American Academy of Pediatrics is required upon hire. A minimum of 1 year of nursing experience is required. Preferred Qualifications: National Certification in your area of specialty.
