Heavy Duty Truck Mechanic

Trillium Drivers is now seeking a Heavy-Duty Truck Mechanic in Springfield, MI for a temp-to-hire opportunity! Pay rate is $16 - $28 per hour, depending on experience. Schedule is Monday - Friday. No Weekend Work! This is 1st shift, start time between 6:00am - 8:00am, roughly 8-10 Hours a Day. Position Overview: -Repair Diesel Engines, trailers, and heavy-duty equipment to ensure safety. -Ensure all repairs meet DOT compliance standards and regulations. -Perform preventative maintenance such as oil changes and brake repairs. -Troubleshoot electrical/hydraulic systems, conduct road tests, repair in shop or roadside breakdowns. -CDL-A license preferred, or be willing to obtain a CDL-A license (company paid) -Certificate from the State of Michigan as a Michigan Motor Vehicle Mechanic in the following categories: Diesel Engine, Drive Train, Brakes and Braking System, Suspension & Steering, Electrical Systems preferred, or willing to obtain these certifications. Qualifications: -High school diploma or GED (technical school preferred). -At least 2+ years of recent and verifiable experience in mechanical repair (diesel, heavy duty, automotive, or fleet). -Ability to read schematics, service manuals, and diagnostic reports. -Experience using diagnostic tools (multimeters, scan tools, pressure gauges, etc) -Valid driver’s license (CDL preferred or ability to obtain). -ASE Certifications preferred.
