Job Description: Basic Function: This position is responsible for managing and assembling tooling projects.3) Reporting Relationships: This position reports to the Tool Room Manager.4) Authority: This position has the authority to make basic tool and die decisions.5) 6 7) Responsibilities: (What should be accomplished) Is responsible for managing assigned tooling projects to meet quality and delivery expectations of the customer Is responsible for assembling tooling, ensuring machined components are to specifications and processes used will meet scheduling completion date Is responsible for actively participating in Pre-Build meetings to determine most efficient manufacturing processes Is responsible for machining components using standard processes to required tolerances and completion datesPrinciple Duties: (Tasks) Set-up and operate machine tools to manufacture components Assemble components into tooling Train/Mentor Apprentices Demonstrates safe work habits Maintain a clean and orga Minimum level of education/training required: This position requires the successful completion of 4 years of high school, or equivalency, as well as successful completion of a state indentured tool and die apprenticeship program, or six or more years served as a nonindentured tool and die maker working on stamping dies. Minimum experience required: This position requires 3 to 5 years oeexpenenctt%llldmg progressive tooling preferably in a metal stamping environment. Advanced math skills, basic computer skills, ability to read technical drawings and ability to communicate are required. License or certificate required: Journeyman Card in Tool and Die. nize work area using 5S principles
