Architectural Drafter (Part-Time)

Selectek is hiring for a part-time Architectural Drafter in the Charlotte, NC area. This position requires you to report to the office at least 3 days a week, working a minimum of 24 hours.Job Description: Read and interpret architectural drawingsSelections for Design DrawingsPrepare technical & shop drawings and details for our projectsInterpret field takeoffs, measurements, and information obtained, as well as make any modifications as neededWork closely with other members of the design team to analyze and solve design issuesResponsibility for maintaining multiple projects at a time and keeping up with revisions as they progress from initiation to completionBe able to follow computer processes and proceduresMaintain a draw & build a standard option library Required: Proficient software skills including AutoCAD, Revit, Microsoft Office Suite, and Sketchup.Ability to draw full construction documentsKnowledge of industry terminology and standard construction methods/material.Have 3D visional interpretation of construction situationsAbility to work well with others and follow directionsDedicated and trustworthy person with extra attention to detail Preferred: residential custom building industry. ($1Mil+ Homes)Good knowledge and understanding of the North Carolina house building codeExperience with shop drawings for millwork and custom furniture details.
