You’ll play a vital role in ensuring the reliability of aviation repair and maintenance through training and preparation.What you’ll do: Machine products to tight tolerancesReads and interprets specification manuals, blueprints, templates and layouts to determine machining operation to be performedVerifies dimensions of products for accuracy and conformance to specifications using precision measuring instruments such as calipers, gauges and micrometersComputes dimensions and tolerances and measures and lays out work piecesAdjusts and sets up machine tools for use by machining tool operatorsParticipates in the cross training of other technicians as needed to support production requirementsWork independently and as a team to achieve maximum qualityCompute and verify dimensions to ensure accuracyObserving all applicable safety practicesCarries out other duties as assignedMust be authorized to work in the U.S. Requirements: 3 years - 5 years experience as CNC VTL MachinistPrevious or current knowledge and experience with manual machine tools operationsExperienced with operating lathes or mills and using measuring instruments (e.g., calipers, gauges, micrometers)Ability to read and interpret manuals and technical drawingsProficient in the use of precision measuring instruments and hand toolsAbility to lift up to 50lbs without assistanceAbility to stand for extended periods of timeMust be authorized to work in the U.S. Preferred: Preferred CNC l Machinist CertificationVTL (Vertical Turning Lathe ) CNC experienceHigh degree of mechanical aptitude, accuracy and precision Benefits that make life better: Comprehensive Healthcare401(k) with 100% company match; up to 5% vestedPaid Time Off starting on day oneBonus opportunitiesHealth- & Dependent Care Flexible Spending AccountsShort- & Long-Term DisabilityLife & AD&D InsuranceLearning & Training opportunities Raising the Standard of Excellence since 1911With over a century of proven excellence, StandardAero has become an industry leader in MRO services and customized solutions in the aerospace field.
