Job specification Candidate requirements Job specification Lead and manage the infection prevention program, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and best practices. Oversee infection surveillance, prevention, and control strategies across the healthcare facility, with a focus on minimizing healthcare-associated infections. Develop and implement policies and procedures related to infection control and prevention, ensuring they are aligned with national and state guidelines. Conduct audits, data analysis, and reporting to track infection rates and outcomes, recommending improvements when necessary. Collaborate with clinical teams, including nursing, physicians, and ancillary staff, to implement infection prevention protocols and ensure staff education. Serve as a subject matter expert on infection prevention, providing training and consultation to staff at all levels. Candidate requirements A Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is required; a Master's degree in Nursing (MSN) or Public Health is preferred. Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Georgia. Minimum of 5 years of clinical nursing experience, with at least 3 years in infection prevention and control or a leadership role. Certification in Infection Control (CIC) is required. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required. Why work with us?
