Job Description: Position Purpose The Product Owner for Salesforce Reporting serves as the strategic leader and primary liaison between business stakeholders, Salesforce Reporting Business Analysts, and Salesforce Report Developers. This role ensures that Salesforce reporting across the Renewal Salesforce ecosystem is accurate, consistent, intuitive, and aligned to clearly defined business outcomes. This position operates with a strong bias toward action, clarity, collaboration, and strategic influence, with direct management responsibility of Salesforce Report Developers. This leader excels at extracting clear business needs from non-technical partners, shaping them into actionable requirements, and driving alignment across reporting and data stakeholders to deliver high-value Salesforce reporting solutions. Salesforce Reporting Strategy & Roadmap Ownership Define, refine, and maintain the Salesforce reporting roadmap, ensuring visibility, traceability, and alignment with business strategies and governed metric definitions. Lead discovery to define what reporting capabilities are needed, why they matter, who they benefit, and how they affect upstream/downstream processes. Ensure Salesforce reporting enables the intended business outcomes and supports decision-making across the organization. Clearly define Salesforce reporting standards including certification process and structure for corporately owned reports vs. custom development. Stakeholder Engagement & Business Outcome Definition Act as the primary partner to the Salesforce Data & Reporting Business Analysts, ensuring requirements are clear, outcomes-based, and aligned to the retail network's needs Extract and articulate business needs from non-technical users and translate them into actionable reporting requirements. Facilitate cross-functional alignment and ensure consistent definitions, logic, and metric governance across Salesforce and other data platforms (e.g., Snowflake). Backlog Prioritization & Delivery Leadership Prioritize reporting enhancements, fixes, and new capabilities to maximize value and ensure clarity for developers and analysts. Write epics and features with crisp acceptance criteria, ensuring shared understanding across business and technical teams. Run agile events ensuring delivery of outcomes and acceptance criteria Partner with delivery teams to remove barriers, clarify requirements, and ensure efficient execution. Data Governance & Reporting Quality Assurance Champion high-quality, governed, intuitive, and accessible Salesforce reports and dashboards. Validate that delivered reports meet expectations and support intended workflows; lead business UAT cycles related to reporting. Ensure consistent business logic and metric definitions across Salesforce reports and enterprise metrics. Communication, Change Leadership & Enablement Communicate roadmap, progress, and changes across stakeholders with clarity and influence consistent with communication Drive organizational readiness related to new or updated Salesforce reports, including training, documentation, and implementation support. Partner with retail operations and field teams to gather continuous feedback and recommend enhancements. Cross-Functional & Strategic Influence Partner with data governance, data product teams, Salesforce platform owners, and business leaders to ensure reporting considerations are included early in solution design. Identify opportunities for advanced analytics and data product needs that extend beyond Salesforce reporting. Primary Responsibilities Continuously engage with internal (CG) stakeholders and IT to identify key data usage, gaps and needs, and to prioritize and implement change. Execute and drive the Strategy, Vision and Roadmap for data usage and/or transformation at RbA. Manage, and execute the organizational change management approach for RbA retail network. Identify, develop, and prioritize RbA network data enhancement requests. Partner with IT product owners to prioritize and develop roadmap for enhancements. Responsible for understanding data roadmap from RbA technology vendors. Manage network data communications for the RbA retail network for functional area. Work Experience 5 years Salesforce or equivalent Technology Business Experience. Ability to travel to retail locations up to 30% of the time. Education 4-year degree preferred or minimum of 5 years equivalent business experience Strong technical & analytical skills (either from formal education or through comparable work experiences). Leadership Experience Leadership skills are primarily a developmental focus for this role. May have some prior leadership experience in a previous role. Strong people influencer/leader. Reporting Relationship Reports to Director of Data and Analytic Products Communication and Presentation Skills Excellent ability to create presentations and communicate with senior leadership and retail network.
