Provide individuals, families, groups, and institutions with expert guidance on diets, menus, meal plans, weight management, and chronic disease prevention and management. The Nutritionist conducts nutritional and physical activity assessments. Counsel patients and families on nutrition principles, MNT plans, and food selection. Provide written exercise and nutrition goals for patients. Review laboratory values, medications, and other data to adjust treatment plans accordingly. The Nutritionist promotes a whole health approach through effective communication with primary care providers. Nutritionist - REQUIREMENTS Must be a Registered Dietician (RD) or Registered Dietician Nutritionist (RDN). Minimum two years of experience in diabetes education for all ages. Hold a current and unrestricted license to practice as an RD or RDN in the United States, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, or a U.S. territory.
