Commercial Refrigeration Installer

Snapshot / Role Overview We're seeking a Commercial Refrigeration Installer in Nashville, TN to install, commission, and start up commercial refrigeration systems for retail, food service, and cold storage facilities. Impact • Enable businesses to operate efficiently by delivering quality refrigeration installations on schedule • Support energy savings and system longevity through proper equipment placement and setup • Reduce callbacks and warranty issues by ensuring installations meet manufacturer specifications • Contribute to team success by maintaining safe work practices and quality standards Responsibilities • Install commercial refrigeration equipment including walk-in coolers, freezers, and display cases • Run refrigerant piping, install condensing units, and connect electrical controls • Braze copper tubing, pressure test systems, and evacuate refrigerant lines properly • Charge refrigeration systems with appropriate refrigerants per EPA guidelines • Verify proper operation of compressors, evaporators, expansion devices, and controls • Coordinate with general contractors and other trades on equipment placement and access • Read and interpret installation drawings, equipment schedules, and specifications • Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition • Complete startup documentation and turnover packages for customers Requirements Must-Haves • 3+ years of commercial refrigeration installation experience • EPA Universal or Type II certification required • Proficiency in brazing, soldering, and refrigerant piping best practices • Ability to read electrical schematics and wiring diagrams • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation • Physical ability to lift 75+ lbs and work on ladders and lifts Nice-to-Haves • HVAC or mechanical trade apprenticeship completion • Experience with rack refrigeration systems or supermarket installations • OSHA 10 certification • Manufacturer-specific training (Hussmann, Hillphoenix, Kysor Warren, etc.) Call to Action If you're ready to advance your career in mechanical construction, apply today or connect with us to learn more.
