Job Description

EXO Talent Partners is partnering with a Tier 1 aerospace manufacturer supporting military aircraft programs. This is a high-impact, hands-on manufacturing engineering role focused on complex prismatic components and multi-axis CNC milling. This is not a desk-only engineering position. This role requires strong shop-floor execution, process ownership, and advanced CNC programming capability. What You'll Do • Develop and optimize CNC milling processes for complex aerospace components • Create and prove-out multi-axis CNC programs (vertical and horizontal machining centers) • Define operation sequences, tooling strategies, workholding, and gauging requirements • Troubleshoot machining, tooling, inspection, and process challenges on the shop floor • Review engineering drawings and apply GD&T for manufacturability improvements • Generate detailed operation sheets and NC programs for precision machined parts • Estimate setup times, tooling requirements, and contribute to cost modeling • Support new product introduction and legacy part migration into improved manufacturing flows • Mentor junior engineers and drive continuous improvement initiatives What We're Looking For • Bachelor's degree in Engineering with 3+ years relevant experience OR Associate degree with 6+ years OR High School Diploma/GED with 8+ years of hands-on experience • Strong background in CNC Milling (3-axis and 5-axis preferred) • Hands-on machine setup and process prove-out experience • CAD/CAM programming experience (Siemens NX strongly preferred; Mastercam acceptable) • Ability to speak technically and communicate effectively with leadership and production teams • Experience machining aluminum, stainless steel, titanium, or similar aerospace materials Nice to Have • Aerospace or high-reliability manufacturing background • Automation integration exposure • GD&T expertise • Lean Manufacturing / Six Sigma familiarity Compensation & Benefits • Base salary target range: $110,000 - $145,000 depending on experience • Annual profit-sharing bonus (~3%) • 401k with match • Relocation assistance and potential sign-on bonus available • Comprehensive health benefits • Tuition assistance and leadership development programs Additional Requirements • Must be eligible to access U.S. export-controlled information • This role is onsite in East Aurora, NY If you are a hands-on manufacturing engineer who grew up in the machine shop and understands both CNC programming and production execution, this is the type of role where you can have real ownership and technical impact.
