Gymnastics Instructor - Preschool

JOB OVERVIEW This year round position is responsible for the organization and implementation of day-to-day activities in our preschool gymnastic program ages 6 month to 6 years at our Boulder Point Facility located in Montgomery, IL. EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & TRAINING Age 16 years and up. No experience required; on-the-job training provided. Experience working with young children is preferred. Gymnastics or dance experience is a plus, but not required. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES An understanding of the principles of customer service. Ability to organize and lead a variety of gymnastics programs. Ability to organize and lead age-appropriate gymnastics activities for young children. Ability to tactfully discuss student's behavior, both positive and negative, with the student and parents. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Must obtain and maintain CPR, AED, First Aid, and DCFS Certifications. Understand and exhibit behavior consistent with stated values of the district. Patience, enthusiasm, and a genuine enjoyment of working with young children. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Teach Mini Gym and preschool gymnastics classes. Assist in the planning and execution of open gyms, and special events. Assist in marketing and promoting the gymnastics program. Serve in a professional and courteous manner with the highest regard to the customer. Attend staff meetings and trainings. Other duties as assigned by your coordinator and/or supervisor.
