Position Type: Maintenance/Custodial/Licensed Technician - HVAC Date Posted: 12/5/2025 Location: PCCS district Closing Date: Until Filled District: Plymouth-Canton Community Schools POSITION: LICENSED TECHNICIAN - HVAC/Contractor Central Maintenance HOURS: 40 Hours/week (Regular Shift - Hours may vary as needed) QUALIFICATIONS: 1. High School diploma or equivalent required. 2. Three (3) years experience preferred in school district maintenance. 3. Must possess a Mechanical Contractor's License or Mechanical Journeymen license 4. Universal Certification as a Type I, II & III Technician is preferred. 5. Proficient in Building Automation Systems (BAS), including but not limited to: a. Johnson Controls b. Automated Logic 6. Possess State Vehicle Operator's License with good driving record. 7. Have interpersonal and judgment skills necessary to work with district staff. 8. Be able to work independently and achieve and maintain job productivity. 9. Be able to work as part of a team. 10. Past attendance and job performance record must be satisfactory to administration. 11. Desired HVACR knowledge MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: May include, but not limited to: Responsible for twenty-four hour care of district facilities. Complete district work orders in the fields of HVAC as directed. Work with all Central Maintenance Licensed Technicians in the proper discharge of their assigned duties. Attend lectures, seminars, school, and other informative instruction as directed by the Director of Maintenance and Operations or his/her designee. Follow-up on State mandates relating to building maintenance compliance. May provide direction to custodial and maintenance employees as authorized by the Director. Advise and recommend strategies for energy savings. Bending, lifting, and overhead work required. Perform other tasks and duties as directed or requested by the Director of Capital Programs and Facilities or his/her designee. REPORTS TO: Director of Capital Programs and Facilities EVALUATION Performance of this position will be evaluated annually in accordance with provisions of the Board's Policy on Evaluation of Classified Personnel. BEGINNING DATE: End of January 2026 SALARY RANGE: Based on 2024/27 Master Agreement $32.43 - $38.50 $34.43 - $40.50- with Contractors License (Salary is based on candidate's qualifications and experience.)
