This is a high-impact role supporting attorneys, Conflicts Counsel, and firm leadership in identifying and resolving potential conflicts of interest for new business intake, lateral hires, and ongoing matter management. The ideal candidate is exceptionally detail-oriented, thrives in fast-paced legal environments, and understands the importance of ethical compliance in complex client representations.What You'll DoAs a Conflicts Research Analyst, you will play a key role in protecting the firm's ability to take on new matters while ensuring adherence to professional responsibility standards.Key responsibilities include: Conduct comprehensive conflict checks using the firms' electronic conflicts platform (Intapp or similar systems) Build thoughtful search strategies that capture client relationships, affiliates, and related parties Analyze search results and prepare clear summaries for attorneys and Conflicts leadership Perform corporate research through legal and business databases to identify ownership structures and affiliations Draft and support documentation including engagement letters, conflict waivers, and ethical screen memorandums Partner closely with Conflicts Counsel, General Counsel, Conflicts Attorneys, and Intake teams to support timely resolution Assist with database maintenance, matter clean-up, and reconciliation projects to ensure integrity of conflicts records Provide responsive support to attorneys and legal staff with professionalism and discretion Occasionally assist with urgent conflicts requests outside normal business hours when required Required Qualifications (Non-Negotiable)Only candidates meeting the following core requirements will be considered: At least 1+ year of conflicts experience within a mid-sized or large law firm Strong familiarity with conflict checks workflows, client/matter intake, and ethical issue spotting Working knowledge of professional responsibility principles and law firm compliance standards Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant law firm experience demonstrating a clear foundation in legal operations Proven ability to manage high-volume work with exceptional accuracy and attention to detail Authorized to work in the United States (no sponsorship now or in the future) Ability to work onsite in Dayton, OH (or relocate as needed) Preferred Qualifications (Standout Experience)Top-tier candidates will also bring: Direct experience using Intapp Open or similar conflicts research software Background drafting engagement letters, conflict waivers, or ethical screen documentation Experience supporting lateral attorney conflict reviews Comfort working on client/matter database clean-up initiatives Strong analytical writing skills and confidence communicating findings to senior attorneys Ideal Candidate TraitsThis role is best suited for someone who is: Highly analytical and detail-driven Calm under pressure with strong judgment Professionally polished and discreet Motivated by ethical integrity and compliance excellence Comfortable balancing multiple priorities in a fast-moving law firm environment HireNow Staffing Disclaimer HireNow Staffing is acting as a direct placement partner for this role.
