Job Description

Looking for a PLC-savvy Assembly Seibi Technician with strong hands-on experience supporting assembly equipment from design review through commissioning. Ideal candidates have Toyopuc or AB experience, enjoy vendor buyoffs, troubleshooting during trials, and don't mind travel or overtime in a fast-paced automotive environment. Assembly Seibi TechnicianKey Responsibilities Review equipment specifications, drawings, and design concepts; identify improvement opportunities Conduct vendor buyoffs to confirm safety, quality, and equipment functionality prior to installation Support equipment installation, commissioning, and startup activities Investigate equipment issues and implement required modifications Perform trials, adjustments, and continuous improvement activities during vehicle trials Reduce project cost and timing by validating safety, quality, and productivity during vendor trials Oversee vendor installations and support kanban processes Verify quality through secondary methods such as torque checks and vacuum profile validation Install, configure, and troubleshoot Toyopuc and Allen-Bradley PLC controllers Provide technical training to Maintenance team members on newly implemented equipment Share subject matter expertise with NAMC Maintenance and Production teams Required Qualifications Minimum 2 years PLC programming and troubleshooting experience (Toyopuc, Siemens, Omron, Mitsubishi, or Allen-Bradley) Strong knowledge of industrial electrical circuits and controls Comprehensive understanding of PLC systems Ability to read and interpret mechanical and electrical drawings Associate degree, trade school certification, or equivalent hands-on experience in: Electrical Engineering Technology (EET) Industrial Maintenance Technology Related technical field Ability to travel up to 50% internationally Ability to work up to 30% overtime when required Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and work in industrial manufacturing environments Preferred Qualifications Industrial maintenance or automotive manufacturing experience Industrial robot programming or teaching experience AGV / AMR setup and programming knowledge Safety scanner programming experience Industrial controls networking experience: Ethernet/IP FLNet ProfiNet
