Project Controls Planner/Scheduler

Job Description: Obtains required schedule information from all disciplines and functions. Coordinates with all departments to ensure understanding of project schedule needs. Responsible for total integration of schedule activities. Identifies restraints and their effect on the schedule. Identifies schedule considerations and challenges resulting from inter-discipline or functional restraints and interfaces. Monitors and reports critical path and schedule performance. Conducts schedule analysis and studies of problem areas to determine the criticality of scheduled activities. Recommends alternatives for schedule improvement to the project team for discussion and/or decision. Responsible for leading, when requested, the development and review of schedule recovery plans, including the evaluation of additional resources/costs required to affect such plans. Basic Qualifications: Bachelor's degree from an accredited university with at least 10-13 years of professional experience or in lieu of degree, a high school diploma or equivalent and at least 14-17 years professional experience. This role requires a facility-specific clearance that requires. Experience in performing, monitoring, and reviewing scheduling functions which include planning, critical path analysis, and schedule performance measurement. Demonstrated ability to work with people of varied backgrounds and objectives. Preferred requirements Construction experience on large, complex Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) jobs. Previous Earned Value Management System experience on complex Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) jobs. Demonstrated skill in identifying and analyzing issues and recommending corrective actions. Flexibility to respond to urgent project requests and changing priorities.
