Benefits:401(k)Neighborhood House of North RichmondDUI Program CounselorPosition Type: Counselor Part-Time Reports to: DUI Program DirectorSalary: $19.00 - $ 22.00 Per Hour Estimated Start Date: ImmediatelyNeighborhood House of North Richmond’s (NHNR) mission is to improve the quality of life of residents of all ages in North Richmond and surrounding communities. NHNR complies with all federal and state employment laws.Position Description: Under general supervision, facilitates prevention education classes, group sessions, and individual counseling for DUI Program participants. Counselors are responsible for charting and maintaining accurate participant records in accordance with DUI Program operation guidelines and California Title 9 Regulations.Minimum QualificationsLicense Required: Possession of valid California Motor vehicle Operators LicenseLanguage Requirement: Bi-lingual - SpanishExperience: Two (2) years of full-time experience counseling persons in a substance abuse program or its equivalentCertification Required: Must possess a certificate as an Alcohol and Other Drug Counselor issued by California Association of Alcohol/Drug Education (CAADE), California Association of DUI Treatment Programs (CADTP), or California Consortium of Addiction Programs and Professionals (CCAPP).Primary Responsibilities: (MAY INCLUDE ALL OR PART OF THE DUTIES BELOW)Schedule clients to education and small group sessionsConduct enrollment, orientations, and process paperworkTrack and document participant progress weeklyOrientate clients on program participation requirementsKeeping accurate charts and case files of all participants assignedSubmit problem cases Program Director when necessaryFacilitate education classes, group, and face-to-face sessionsPrepare participant reinstatement worksheet and agreementsPrepare participant program conversion worksheet agreementsProvide participants with information regarding community resources when appropriateMaintains accurate client case recordsPrepares reports as requiredParticipates in meetings, committees, and or training when assignedMay act as a backup when needed to cover absent DUI CounselorPerform other related duties as assignedAPPLICATION: Email cover letter and resume to Francie Koehler at , or .
