Come join our team today!Position Overview:The primary focus of a Instructor/Teacher Assistant STEAM Children's Enrichment will be to maintain the Discovery Center activities. Instructor/Teacher Assistant STEAM Children's Enrichment are asked to promote creativity, teamwork, and problem-solving skills of students by supporting the Instructor in the classroom. Programs are conducted for children ages 2-14, although not all assistant instructors are required to work with all age groups. This role requires internal collaboration and communication with Snapology Instructors & leadership as well as representing the Snapology organization to parents & children with a high degree of professionalism. We are a mobile business that operates in schools, libraries, homes, etc. throughout Nassau County Long Island.Role & Responsibilities:Greet parents and childrenMonitor children in the use of learning materials and equipmentAid in Management of student behaviorMaintain discipline in accordance with the rules and disciplinary systems of SnapologyOrganize Snapology program materialsComplete special assignments as indicated by Snapology leadershipHandle inquiries from parents regarding Snapology programsEncourage students & parents to enroll students in future Snapology programsParticipate in periodic Snapology training & staff meetings, as requiredQualifications:Criminal and Child Clearances must be currentDesire to work with childrenAbility to establish and maintain cooperative and effective working relationships with othersAbility to communicate effectively orally and in writingProven ability to report to work on a regular and punctual basisPrograms:Weekday after-school and/or evening classesWeekend workshops and/or birthday partiesSummer campsSpecial events, holiday and break workshopsThis position is part-time. Depending on candidate availability and the time of year, Instructor/Teacher Assistant STEAM Children's Enrichment typically work between 4-10 hours per week.This franchise is independently owned and operated by a franchisee.
