Job Duties: Perform routine inspections and make modifications to internal combustion engines, diesel generators, and associated equipmentDiagnose malfunctions and communicate with the customer of needed repairsPerform all levels of preventive and corrective maintenance on Automatic Transfer Switches (ATS) and annunciator panelsAbility to read electrical and mechanical drawings and prints Perform load testing on units to identify possible problems Make electrical and mechanical wiring modifications to diesel control circuitsRebuild and repair gas compressors (turbochargers) used for forced-induction of IC engines, head gaskets, seals, water pumps, catalytic converters, torque heads, belts and hosesConduct automatic and manual transfer tests of simulated power outages to ensure generators are functioning properlyTest batteries, fuel, coolant, and oil to ensure the generator runs properly Identify any warranty repairs and document properly on the repair orderComplete required documentation for work order files and customer billingOther duties as assigned Desired Competencies: Knowledge and experience with mechanics or a related field Mechanically inclined and able to work independently Detail oriented Team PlayerFlexibility to meet changing demands Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent Valid CDL driver's license with clean driving record (preferred) 2+ years' experience as a Generator Technician or similar position (preferred) Benefits: Quarterly BonusesHealth, Dental and Vision Insurance401K with company matchingCompany paid Short-term & Long-Term Disability InsuranceAnnual Boot & Tool Allowance We're an equal opportunity employer.
