The Controller is responsible for managing the financial operations of the organization, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and providing financial insights to support business decisions.DutiesThe ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of financial management, including double entry bookkeeping, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and financial analysis. They will be proficient in using accounting software such Appfolio and QuickBooks.Key responsibilities include:Preparing and reviewing financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statementsDeveloping and implementing accounting policies and proceduresMaintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records, including accounts payable and accounts receivableConducting financial analysis and providing recommendations to managementEnsuring compliance with regulatory reporting requirementsManaging and analyzing financial data to identify trends and areas for improvementCollaborating with other departments to ensure effective financial planning and managementDeveloping and managing budgets and forecastsProviding financial support and guidance to other departmentsExperienceThe ideal candidate will have significant experience in a controller role, preferably in commercial real estate or similar industry. They will have a strong understanding of financial principles and practices, and be familiar with accounting software and financial software.The candidate should have a degree in accounting or a related field, and be certified as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA).
