Responsibilities & DutiesAssess and treat patients with common acute conditions, illnesses, or minor trauma, and preventive medicine in collaboration with a physicianCollaborate with the physician in the health care of patients with uncomplicated illnessesResponsible for the diagnosis and treatment of acute, chronic, and long-term healthcare issuesEducate patients and/or families about preventive care, positive behaviors, medical issues, and use of prescribed medical treatments and/or medicationsMaintain legible, correct, and confidential medical recordsDocument all medical evaluations, diagnoses, procedures, treatment, outcomes, education, and referralsServe as Medical Examiner and perform Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examinationsOrder diagnostic tests as appropriatePrescribe medications within the scope of the licenseFacilitate evaluation of records by physicians (s), peers, for quality and standards according to protocols, and receive and implement constructive directivesPromote preventive and health maintenance care, including annual physical, positive health behaviors, self-care skills, and use of prescribed medical treatments and medications through education and counselingAnalyze new knowledge gained from conferences, workshops, professional literature, or hands-on training and assimilate this knowledge into clinical practiceRegular attendance to ensure efficient operationsOther duties and responsibilities as assignedQualificationsCurrent licensure as a Certified Registered Family Nurse Practitioner (ANCC or AANP) in a Family or Current Licensure as a Physician Assistant (PANCE)Federal DEA License.Medicare and Medicaid credentialing and CAQH registration.Ability and willingness to work weekends and holiday work as requiredFlexible, self-motivated individual who is dedicated to quality patient care and customer satisfactionExcellent communication skillsWorks effectively in a team environmentWilling to work with multiple covering physicians in addition to collaborating with a physicianProjects a positive image and has a “Patients First” attitudeOne or more years of Prior experience in primary/urgent care or internal medicine practice is favorable.BenefitsFlexible schedulingPTOHealth insuranceRetirement benefits, and more!Full & Part-time positions available!
