Surgical Technologist - Main OR Grafton, WI 53024 About the Facility Level III Trauma Center Level II NICU Primary Stroke Center Licensed Beds: 167 Unit Overview - Main OR Service Lines: Main OR: Robotics, General Surgery, GYN, Vascular, Urology, Plastics Orthopedics: Total Joints, Spine, Hand, Foot, Sports Medicine OR Suites: 8 ⚠ Facility manager will evaluate experience and comfort with multiple service lines prior to consideration (per unit detail form). Position Requirements Experience: Minimum 3 years Surgical Technologist experience First-Time Travelers: Considered upon review Certifications Required: BLS (AHA) COVID Vaccine: Required Patient Population General Surgery Plastics Vascular Urology GYN ENT Cardiothoracic Robotics Staffing Ratios Surgical Technologist: Days: 1:1-2 per case Nights: 1:1-2 per case Core Responsibilities Assist surgical team by preparing and maintaining sterile field Anticipate surgeon needs and provide appropriate instruments and supplies Assist with patient positioning, prepping, and draping Maintain surgical counts and adhere to safety protocols Support a wide range of surgical specialties including robotics and orthopedics Required Skills Strong General Surgery skillset Experience across multiple service lines preferred Ability to float between General and Orthopedic services (rotation-based) Support & Resources Charge Nurse (no patient assignment; may staff cases if necessary) Unit Secretary (day shift) Phlebotomy services Respiratory Therapy Hospitalist coverage 24/7 or on-call surgeon attending Charting & Equipment EMR: EPIC IV Pumps: Alaris Medication System: Pyxis Monitoring: Anesthesia-based monitoring systems Scheduling & Call Orientation: 1 shift to learn unit workflow Call Requirements: One weeknight every 2-3 weeks One weekend every 2 months Weekend Rotation: On-call every 2 months Holidays: 1 holiday (if applicable) Time Off: Up to 7 days may be approved Additional Details Scrub Color: Ceil Blue Parking: White-line parking available; dedicated west lot for team members Point of Contact Patrick Bodden
