This is an impactful role, as you will be assisting customers who have experienced fire or water damage in returning their homes or businesses to good condition. You will perform cleaning, drying, and demolition work as well as other restoration activities. The ideal candidate understands the importance of this position and cares deeply about the quality of their work and the impact it will have on customers.Responsibilities:Effectively perform all water damage mitigation and restoration services the company offersCommunicate effectively with customersPerform basic equipment maintenance and maintain toolboxPerform basic vehicle maintenanceComplete work ordersPerform cleaning, drying, demolition, and other restoration workComplete appropriate restoration documentation including drying logs, equipment logs, and sketchesMaintain appropriate inventory levels in work vehicle and stock supplies for each projectKeep workspace and vehicle clean and organizedPrepare job site for restoration activitiesCommunicate and supervise project objectives with techniciansWork closely with Restoration TechniciansInspect completed work24 Hour on call shiftsQualifications:Certification from the Institute of Inspection Cleaning and Restoration (IICRC) is preferredPrevious experience as a Restoration Technician or in a similar role is preferredHigh school diploma/GEDValid driver’s licenseAbility to meet the physical demands of the job, including climbing ladders, working at heights and in tight spaces, and lifting heavy objectsAbility to travel, both locally and out of statePerformance CompetenciesOral Communication – Speaks clearly. Pays attention to details.Technical – Is appropriately trained and/or certified and effectively performs all production work within the restoration division.Quality – the individual demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness and monitors his / her own work to ensure quality.Physical Demands - While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, use hands to finger, handle or feel, reach with hands and arms, and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand and walk.
