Position OverviewThe Site Superintendent is responsible for overseeing on-site execution of millwork, casework, and related interior scope. This role serves as the primary field leader, coordinating installation teams, managing material flow, ensuring quality and schedule compliance, and acting as the critical communication link between the jobsite and the manufacturing plant.This is a highly field-based position requiring approximately 90% travel. The Site Superintendent is expected to be physically present on jobsites for the majority of the work year. The role is hands-on and installation-focused, requiring strong leadership, technical understanding of millwork products, and the ability to identify issues early and communicate solutions clearly.Job Duties/ResponsibilitiesField Leadership & Supervision Supervise and coordinate on-site installation crews and subcontracted laborEstablish daily and weekly work plans to meet project schedulesMaintain jobsite discipline, professionalism, and productivityEnsure installers are set up for success with clear direction and Material Coordination & Logistics Receive, verify, and manage delivery of millwork and related materialsInspect materials upon arrival for damage, completeness, and conformanceCoordinate material staging, protection, and access within the jobsiteCommunicate material shortages, damages, or discrepancies immediately Quality Control & Installation Oversight Ensure installation meets approved shop drawings, specifications, and quality standardsIdentify fit, finish, or constructability issues in the fieldPrevent reworking through early detection and proactive coordinationDocument issues with photos and written feedback Plant & Project Team Communication Provide real-time feedback to the plant and project management team regarding: Field conditions impacting fabricationProduct adjustments or refinements neededInstallation challenges or improvement opportunities Participate in coordination calls as needed with PMs, engineering, and production Schedule & Coordination Coordinate installation activities with other trades and the general contractorCommunicate with site readiness issues (access, power, floor conditions, sequencing)Track progress against schedule and report delays or risks earlyAssist PMs with look-ahead planning and milestone tracking Safety & Compliance Enforce job-satisfaction requirements and company policiesParticipate in site safety meetings and inspectionsEnsure crews follow all OSHA and site-specific safety rules Documentation & Reporting Provide daily progress updates and photo documentation Assist with punch list development and close-out activitiesSupport warranty and service follow-up as needed Required Skills/Abilities Strong understanding of shop drawings, field dimensions, and installation sequencingProven experience supervising crews in active construction environmentsAbility to read construction documents and coordinate with multiple tradesStrong communication skills, both verbal and writtenHigh level of accountability, organization, and attention to detailAbility to wiliness to ravel up to 90% of the time nationwide Education and Experience 5+ years of experience in millwork, casework, or interior finish installationA bachelor's degree in a business-related field is preferred but not required. Physical Requirements Able to lift and move up to 20 pounds regularly. Performing this job will sometimes require the team member to walk work sites that do not have the infrastructure; this includes walking on uneven surfaces, through mud, through ruts, etc.Able to bend, climb, and stand for extended periodsWillingness to maintain a travel-heavy schedule (approximately 90% travel)Flexibility to work extended hours based on project schedules and site demands What Success Looks Like in This Role Jobsites are organized, productive, and well-coordinatedInstallation issues are identified early, not after completionClear, actionable feedback flows between the field and the plantProjects install smoothly with minimal rework or surprisesCrews feel supported, directed, and set up for success
