Horizontal Directional Drilling (HDD) Locator

Underground Locator Duties and Responsibilities (included but are not limited to) • Operate horizontal directional drill locator equipment in accordance with company and industry standards • Plan horizontal directional drill bore path for installation of conduit, duct, cable. • Observe obstacles that may include unlocated or private utilities • Have understanding of various ground conditions: rock, clay, sand, cobble, etc. • Perform routine labor (potholing, equipment setup, conduit, duct, cable placement, set pedestals) as required • Assure all located utilities that are in the construction path have been potholed • Document and record the finished product • Ensure cleanliness of job sites • Work efficiently and complete work in a timely manner • Ensure accountability of all tools and materials Additional Abilities • Willing to work in all temperatures, climates, and weather conditions • Ability to work efficiently, independently and collaboratively in a team environment • Must be able to bend, stand, sit, crawl, climb, and lift throughout each day • Ability to communicate professionally with co-workers, homeowners, and customers • Must be reliable, responsible, and dependable work attendance • Must be willing to travel • Must have valid driver's license - Class A CDL preferred • Must be able to pass drug and background screening • Must be authorized to work in the United States Benefits • Medical, Dental, & Vision Insurance • Paid Holidays • Vacation (PTO) • 401K Retirement Savings Plan • Profit Sharing
