This unique position requires someone mechanically inclined with heavy equipment or the like experience. Job Description (but not limited to): Removal, Identification, Fabrication, and Installation of hydraulic and like hoses. Cranking and testing equipment. Provide after hour on-call assistance. 4-6 days a week. Every 5th to 6th week rotation. Evaluate the condition of equipment and recognition of any other potential hose failure. Check and fill hydraulic oil where required. Deliver hose and other products. Maintain clean, well-running work truck, inventory, and tools provided. Communicate cause and correction to customer. Provide copy of on-site service order to customer. Collect payment from customers where required and assist in collections of past due accounts. Maintain current accounts with regular visits and correspondence. Generate new business through sales calls and provide records thereof. Keep a daily log and DOT checklist. Assist in training new employees. Qualifications:Medium level mechanical skills. Familiarity with tools. Job experiences involving people relations. Drug screen. Clean driving record. DOT physical. Criminal background check. 12th grade education or equivalent. Physical Requirements: Drive medium duty commercial truck. Work outdoors under varying conditions: hot, cold, rain, dirt, mud, noise, bad smells, heights, etc. Occasionally lift and/or move 80 pounds. Be able to work with tools in confined spaces, on the ground, inside and around heavy equipment and machinery, etc. Be flexible to use tools efficiently.
