Industrial/Manufacturing Engineer

Thompson First Group is currently seeking a qualified Industrial/Manufacturing Engineer for a local client in Hunt Valley, MD. Responsibilities The Industrial/Manufacturing Engineer will design and test all aspects of mechanical equipment used in our multi-line multi-facility food manufacturing company including equipment commissioning and decommissioning, sanitary design, and CIP systems focused on process improvement and strategic growth Oversee the Maintenance Superintendent, Craftsmen, and maintenance staff Coordinate and track preventative maintenance schedule to increase operational success Designs workflows, blueprints, schematics, and operation process mapping for mechanical systems in multi-line food manufacturing facilities Uses expertise to create design sketches, layouts, and plans Develops detail layouts for current and future manufacturing equipment across the operations Uses computer-assisted design (CAD) software to create preliminary and detailed drawings of manufacturing equipment and product flow Hands on management, supervision, and project management of all aspects of industrial food manufacturing equipment Builds models, designs, and prototypes for lean & cost reductive projects with safety first Makes sound engineering recommendations to increase machine reliability and minimize downtime Implement and manage operational plans and strategies Performs other related duties as assigned Thompson First Group is an equal opportunity employer.
