CNC Machinist

Trillium Staffing is now seeking a CNC Machinist for a direct-hire in Portage! Local company is looking to place machinist for 2nd shift, 3:45 PM to 2:00 AM. Job responsibilities for machinist include: -Set up, programming and safe operation of machine following established set-up, process and quality work instruction. -Prepare SPDT programs for a new process and works with department and team to develop new processes. -Work closely with other departments to improve efficiency. -Consult with the technical team to determine methods of manufacturing, fixturing needs, and inspection criteria. -Perform routine preventative maintenance on the SPDT machine. -Perform inspection on components for compliance to written specifications and works with Quality Assurance with metrics and testing. -Documents processes and events. -Machinist must initiate and maintain proper and necessary safety and fire prevention equipment and operate tools, equipment, and machinery according to company policies. Machinist will train for 2 - 5 months on 1st shift, 7:00 am to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday. Pay is $26.00 to $32.00 an hour. Apply now! Required Skills for Machinist: -Minimum 3 years’ experience in CNC Machining and Programming -Metrology includes the use and understanding of standard measuring equipment in addition to a profilometer, interferometer, etc. -Ability to use relevant computer applications: MS Office, Outlook, CNC Programming. -Excellent writing and verbal skills. -Ability to trouble shoot G-Code programs -Strong math skills -Ability to read and understand blueprints -Leadership skills and decision-making abilities Trillium has been recruiting and placing professionals for over 30 years.
