Job DescriptionJob Description:Title: Welder Location: New Holland, PA Shift: 3rd Shift, M-F 10pm to 6: 30am (if overtime is required it is worked before regular shift starts) Duration: 0-12 Month Pay Rate: $ 28.00/hour (W2) Job Duties / Responsibilities: Read and work from work orders, blueprints, route sheets, method sheets, and supervisor instructions. Weld metal components and units according to specified weld size, type, strength, and appearance. Perform electric wire-feed welding to join metal parts per layouts, diagrams, and welding procedures. Retrieve welding tools, fixtures, and positioners from storage using part or tool numbers listed on route sheets. Produce weld beads of specified length, radius, and size to meet design specifications and leak-proof requirements. Fabricate regular, irregular, eccentric, and symmetrical weldments of simple to moderate design. Adjust amperage and voltage to achieve quality welds at optimal production speed. Ensure accurate angular, dimensional, and spatial alignment through proper fixturing, positioning, clamping, and inspection. Strike and maintain arc to melt and deposit metal from electrode to workpiece. Guide welding gun along weld line, controlling arc length and travel speed to achieve proper fusion and bead size. Perform welding in flat, horizontal, and vertical positions. Clean and prepare weld joints and workpieces using wire brushes, grinders, or chemical baths. Cut metal plates or structural shapes using oxy/acetylene torch when required. Follow 5S, safety, quality, and environmental standards at all times. Qualifications / Requirements High school diploma or equivalent. Ability to follow clearly defined processes, procedures, and work instructions. Basic understanding of welding equipment, fixtures, and safety practices. Willingness to work 3rd shift and overtime when required. Strong attention to detail and quality standards. Ability to work independently and as a team member. Positive attitude, good attendance, and adherence to workplace policies.
