Technical Consultant Job Summary: Talent Software Services is in search of a Technical Consultant for a contract position in Berkeley Heights, NJ. The opportunity will be for one year with a strong chance for a long-term extension. Position Summary: We are seeking a skilled professional for a 12-month contract position in Berkeley Heights, a vibrant community known for its excellent quality of life and proximity to major urban centers. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where you can leverage your expertise in Workload Automation. Primary Responsibilities/Accountabilities: Manage all aspects of the Control-M Scheduling function, including administration and migrations from other schedulers to Control-M. Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) on Workload Automation (WLA) platforms, with a preference for Control-M Version 9.0.18 or later. Install, configure, and administer Batch Components for Distributed Scheduling Systems. Migrate scheduling tools from third-party solutions (CA7/Autosys) to Control-M. Secure communication between batch components using SSL, firewalls, and other security measures. Troubleshoot Control-M components and participate in disaster recovery and business continuity tests. Deliver, implement, and support Control-M Add-ons, including MFA, plugins, and Self Service. Implement site standards and utilize Workload Change Manager. Utilize SQL skills and awareness of database architecture, including Oracle and Postgres. Understand Cloud infrastructure deployment on AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud. Create knowledge and process documentation for the batch community. Run custom reports from the Reporting Facility for auditing purposes. Configure and troubleshoot Schedulers and WLA Agent issues. Integrate ITSM Tools, LDAP, and more with Control-M. Develop batch scheduling skills and manage critical process workflows. Support application teams in implementing Control-M for their jobs. Coordinate with App Dev to analyze and troubleshoot issues. Manage workloads, identify critical services, and provide solutions to optimize resource use. Qualifications: Experience with BMC Control-M, One Automation, Autosys, or additional WLA tools. Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, shell scripting, PowerShell, SQL, SCP, SSH, Oracle, Tandem, and Linux. Familiarity with Control-M Workbench, API, and DevOps Tools like Salt stack, GIT, Nexus, etc. Basic administration skills for operating systems including Unix, Linux, and Windows. Preferred: Strong communication, analytical, and troubleshooting skills. Self-motivated, self-learner, and a go-getter.
