Job Description BAE Systems is a world leader in flight critical controls, avionics, and advanced displays for military and commercial markets, delivering critical capabilities to the US military and its allies. Our Global Integrated Solutions team within the Precision Strike and Sensing Solutions business area is seeking an experienced Program Manager to execute complex flight controls, avionics, and sustainment programs for the Light Combat Aircraft program, serving international customers in India. This program represents significant annual revenue, with aspects of both internal manufacturing as well as high value subcontracts. This position has the responsibility for the leadership of a project team assuring that project’s financials, schedule, and technical objectives are met and that the highest level of customer satisfaction is achieved while meeting all contractual commitments. Both Domestic and International travel will be required at times. There will be opportunities to develop international localization, intellectual property, and in-market growth strategies. The primary responsibilities of this role include: Lead the execution of production hardware, development, and localization programs through a cross-functional, geographically distributed team, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery of customer contractual requirements and high levels of customer satisfaction Manage and execute various projects including both production and engineering elements to ensure achievement of financial, schedule, technical, and new business performance objectives. Develop, integrate, and manage program plans, budgets, forecasts, and earned value metrics, with full responsibility for financial and operational performance Serve as point of contact for customer engagements, including program status updates, performance reviews, and issue resolution. Exhibit exceptional interpersonal skills while interfacing with program team members, company personnel, suppliers, and customers Ensure performance of sub-contracts aligned to customer delivery requirements in collaboration with Subcontract Management Contribute to positive work environment by promoting teamwork, wellness, modeling good behaviors, and leadership engagement Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers to understand their needs, support new business initiatives and lead proposal efforts Ensure compliance with company processes, ethical code of conduct, government regulations, and customer contracts Required Education, Experience, & Skills Demonstrated success leading execution of complex, electronics systems development, production or sustainment programs, either as a functional leader or profit/loss leader Proven past performance in leading and managing multi-discipline project teams Demonstrated ability for building strong customer and stakeholder relationships Excellent written and oral communications, data analysis, and organizational skills Highly adaptable with strong initiative and collaborative interpersonal skills Strong business acumen Exercise discretion and independent judgement in the performance of PM duties Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills Expertise in project management, earned value management, risk management, and supply chain & subcontract management Experience executing electronics systems programs in aerospace and defense industry Program Management Professional (PMP) certification Experience working with international defense customers and partners Experience working across multiple sites to achieve objectives Experience proposing and executing offset programs Knowledge of the military aviation market Pay Information Full-Time Salary Range: $136000 - $231200 Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
