ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS and RESPONSIBILITIES: Operation and set-up of machining centers and lathes Ability to change and maintain tooling Ability to read and interpret blueprints and operation sheets Ability to read and understand gauges and other measuring devices Basic knowledge of 6S safety and ISO organizational standards Ability to accurately perform mathematical computations such as addition, subtraction, multiplication and division, also basic knowledge of percentages and decimals as related to manufacturing Able to meet specific deadlines Interface with all departments and levels of management EDUCATION and QUALIFICATIONS: 1-3 years experience in operation and set-up of machining centers and lathes 1-3 years experience in tooling change-overs, building up tools and touching off tooling Experience in setting up Gear Shapers is highly valued! 1-3 years experience using gauges such as micrometers and calipers Experience with bar code scanning regarding product movement, preferred High school diploma or equivalent Computer Skills: To perform this job successfully the following computer proficiencies are desired: Internet Explorer; Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word.
