Description The Leidos Defense Sector is seeking a Global Trade Compliance Manager to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will act as a trusted advisor, working closely with program teams to navigate complex trade requirements while ensuring adherence to regulations. Your expertise will support a diverse portfolio, focusing on U.S. trade regulatory areas including ITAR, EAR, OFAC, and Customs. You will report to the Director of Global Trade Management. This position involves regular interaction with Leidos management, contracts, engineering, supply chain, and proposal teams, as well as external customers and partners. To excel, you must independently manage a high volume of complex tasks while maintaining excellent customer service and collaboration. This role requires onsite presence in Huntsville, Alabama approximately 3 days per week or as business needs dictate. Relocation assistance may be considered. Primary Responsibilities: Be the central point of contact, providing guidance to programs and employees on Global Trade compliance (ITAR, EAR, OFAC, U.S. Customs). Prepare Department of State export licenses and technical assistance agreements, and process ITAR exemption requests. Draft Department of Commerce export license applications and handle EAR exception requests. Manage export and import authorization records within Leidos' record-keeping system. Review International Business Review Board (IBRB) routings to ensure trade compliance. Conduct global trade training sessions for internal stakeholders. Evaluate requests for foreign travel and visitors. Perform restricted party screenings. Assess documentation for export-controlled information. Review and approve international shipments. Act as the main point-of-contact for Global Trade inquiries from the Huntsville site. Prepare and present weekly and monthly compliance reports. Undertake additional projects and tasks as assigned to support Global Trade objectives. Basic Qualifications: Bachelor's degree and 5-8 years of experience in export/import compliance. Additional relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree. Proficient in Department of State's ITAR and Department of Commerce's EAR. Experience with trade compliance tools and screening processes. Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in documentation review. Excellent written and verbal communication skills to articulate complex regulations clearly. Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build effective relationships with stakeholders. Demonstrated sound judgment in assessing compliance risks and proposing solutions. High integrity and commitment to compliance standards. Active or ability to obtain a Top Secret security clearance.
