Substance Abuse Counselor

Job description: Credentials: Bachelor's degree required CSAC preferred CSAC Supervisee encouraged to apply Location: Dumfries - On-site A growing residential Treatment Center and PHP program is seeking a CSAC or CSAC Supervisee to join their clinical team. This role is centered on group facilitation within a structured residential environment. Counselors co-facilitate approximately five groups per day and play a key role in maintaining consistency, structure, and therapeutic engagement across the program. Responsibilities include facilitating psychoeducational and recovery-focused groups, monitoring client progress in alignment with ASAM criteria, collaborating closely with therapists and case management, and maintaining timely, accurate documentation. Success in this role requires strong boundaries, organization, and the ability to prioritize in an active clinical setting. Clinical concerns must be identified and escalated appropriately. The team relies on clear communication and steady clinical judgment. Compensation: CSAC: $70,000-$71,500 annually CSAC Supervisee: $60,000-$61,500 annually Job Type: Full-time
