How you'll make an impact in this role Operate and maintain advanced Gamma and PET/CT cameras to detect and map radiopharmaceutical biodistribution, ensuring the delivery of high-quality diagnostic images for accurate clinical interpretation. Expertly prepare, calibrate, and administer radioactive isotopes according to strict NRC and state protocols, maintaining meticulous records for dosage, waste disposal, and inventory. Execute rigorous radiation safety procedures, utilizing time, distance, and shielding (ALARA) to minimize exposure to patients, staff, and the public while performing routine contamination surveys. Ensure the integrity of the diagnostic chain by verifying patient data, applying correct lead markers, and managing the seamless transfer of high-fidelity images and histories to PACS. Perform daily quality control (QC) on imaging equipment, identifying malfunctions early to initiate lock-out/tag-out procedures, while maintaining a sterile and organized clinical environment. What minimum requirements you'll need Licensure / Certification / Registration: BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted. One or more of the following required: Nuclear Medical Tech credentialed from the Indiana Medical Radiology Services Program obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. Nuclear Medical Tech credentialed from the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. Radiologic Technologist specializing in Nuclear Medicine credentialed from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. Or credentialed from the Indiana State Department of Health obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. Education: High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate' degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
